How to use this template
The template has estimates — replace them with your actual quotes for equipment, insurance, and software. Every market is different; California will have different costs than Alabama.
Add a row for each month as you go. Compare actual revenue to your projection. If you are falling behind, investigate whether it is a marketing, pricing, or capacity issue.
Banks and the SBA want to see a business plan with realistic projections and a break-even analysis. This template provides the financial section — you will also need an executive summary and market analysis for a formal loan application.
This template covers Analytics dashboard and revenue reporting. DetailFlowPro handles this automatically for active businesses — no spreadsheet required.

Most solo mobile detailers cover operating expenses within 60–90 days if they actively market from day one. Recouping the full startup investment typically takes 3–6 months at medium volume (15–20 jobs/month). Timeline depends heavily on initial equipment cost, pricing, and local market demand.
For a self-funded solo operation, a simple working financial model (like this template) is sufficient. If you are applying for a business loan or SBA financing, a more formal plan with market analysis, competitive landscape, and executive summary will be required. Consult a SCORE mentor (free, SBA-affiliated) for help building a loan-ready plan.
